No update last week due to our 17th anniversary & some craziness.
No writing update this week because we spent the week planning and dealing with logistics to see the last show of the first North American leg of U2’s The Joshua Tree 2017 Tour (along with approximately 70,000 other people).
(About 90 minutes before the opening act)
(U2 starting off, “New Year’s Day”)
(Moving to the main stage to start the Joshua Tree portion of the show)
My envy burns with an unforgettable fire.

It was a very good show. They hit a few from War, a bit of Unforgettable Fire, and “Pride”, before turning to the entire Joshua Tree. Encore had “Mysterious Ways”, “Beautiful Day”, “Elevation”, “Ultraviolet” (dedicated to women’s rights leaders), “Miss Sarajevo” (dedicated to Syria), and “Vertigo”. Nothing off the two most recent albums.

I don’t know about you but there isn’t much I’d miss from their two most recent. Soumds awesome. I saw Elevation and it’s still the best show I’ve ever seen.

I’d agree. Not much that stands out from the last two. We saw Elevation in Pittsburgh in ’01/02, definitely a good one

The screen behind them (not a projection & extremely crisp) was phenomenal. Whatever crew they had operating it & doing art direction were awesome.
